I'm writing today at Just Be Enough, sharing a crossroad in my life.
I've devoted 10 years to extensive volunteerism.
Volunteerism that's given me great fulfillment.
Volunteerism that's substantially helped more than one organization.
But I need more than that right now.
And it has me torn up, if I'm honest.
I love the volunteer work I do.
But how can I do that and still devote the time I want to writing?
I don't know the answer yet.
But what I do know is that I need to get better at saying this:
I'd love it if you came to visit me at Just Be Enough and see what else I say about it.
It's so important to say NO to some things. It enables us to say YES to other things-- and mean it.

Yes, yes, yes! I need to work on saying "No!" more too--thanks for the reminder.

I have the worst time with no. For all of the wrong reasons! What if they don't like me for saying no??? Hmmm.

Saying "no" was not my forte but there was a time when Hubby and I had to say it and mean it. He was serving on two boards, coaching soccer and baseball while I was voluteering at church and school every minute. We pared it way down and I am happy with a more balanced volunteer time.

I'm a lot better than I used to be! That's something! Hoping something gives for you. XXOO
